Since 1990, we have worked as recruitment partners with both large and small entrepreneurially led companies, with the key mission of finding candidates that make a difference to their businesses.
The corollary is we also make a difference to candidates' careers. The best jobs for the best people/ the best people for the best jobs. We call it executive resourcing, our clients call it “making the difference”.
Working in partnership with both clients and candidates, investing time, thought, energy and effort to get the right match. How? By creating the right brief (actually reflecting business need) i.e. the right candidate profile reflecting the drive, capability and ambition to deliver in post. It’s about a better script, more informed targeting and more incisive interviewing, more thought - provoking adverts, a wider, and a more discerning search. It’s also about mixing approaches, database, advertising, social media and headhunt with the sum total of these touch points getting the best result. It’s more than just trust, honesty, hard work, transparency and accountability, it’s about proactive relationship management and insight. The key is understanding entrepreneuriality at the centre of the business, the client and the candidate. It requires going the extra mile and investing that extra/lateral thought/market knowledge, research and experience to get the right result.
For us, it is also about context: fitting into a wider market, being a corporate citizen, having links with advisors, intermediaries, private equity houses, bankers etc. This means we act for a wider range of businesses and commercial charities (social enterprises). They are all stretching, changing to make a difference in their market place too, reflected in the diverse range of dynamic briefs that WTH delivers across the differing sectors, vertical silos, supply chains and distribution channels.
One unique facet is team building. We at WTH have assembled both boards and top teams for a range of businesses like challenger banks, new ventures/joint ventures, utilities, leisure businesses, logistics players, comparison sites, care companies, FMCG providers, construction companies, as well as major growth opportunities in business/consumer services and social enterprises. Conversely, the 'mission-critical' single vacancy is also our forte.
A common ingredient is growth, driving changes in structure, technology and ownership. At any point in time we are looking for the FD for an SME, a CEO of a Charity and Ops director of an owner-managed company, Sales & Marketing Director of an FMCG player or the COO of a digital specialist. FD’s are one of our specialisms as are Non Executive Directors. Genuinely multisector and multidisciplined. Ours is a changing mix, but we are also very good at getting something right first time in a new field. Why? Because of that entrepreneurially and investing the time and thought to get it right, in the first place. Recruiting as an investment, partnering growth and “making the difference”.
