Financial Controller

This is a very special AIM listed SME, it’s a specialised asset management business, which in addition to its commercial activities, also focuses on the regeneration and preservation of vital and historic parts of the South-West. This is a fascinating business for a technical and commercially literate qualified accountant.

The Finance Director now needs an experienced Financial Controller. This is a broad role covering all aspects of finance as well as some aspects of general management. Technically the focus is both working with a small investor group ensuring that they and the board have relevant and timely reports, but also assisting the Finance Director on Treasury and Cash projects. It is a commercial role and is involved in all aspects of the business.

Candidates will be qualified accountants with strong technical skills, but who thrive in a SME environment. An understanding of asset or property management would be useful, but is not a prerequisite, more important are your communication skills as you must be able to work at all levels within the business. There are also real prospects of progression to the board.
